Knowledge of and practice in using effective instructional strategies for teaching language arts and the social studies curriculum will be expanded, as well as evaluating student achievement in a variety of ways. Professionalism is the emphasis as the candidate seeks to continue his or her professional growth to develop behaviors expected of teachers. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate attitudes and habits of teaching with a student-centered focus, which is critical to the success of the student-teaching experience.
