ENGR 423 - Electromagnetics 3 hours This course offers an introduction to Maxwell’s equations and it demonstrates how these equations govern or impact things in electrical engineering. From this, some treatment is given to the study of static electric fields and magnetic fields of steady electric current and ferromagnetic materials. The subject of time-changing electric and magnetic fields is also addressed showing the relationship between field and circuit theory using Maxwell’s equations. An introduction to waves, transmission lines, antennas and radiation is explored. Prerequisite(s): MATH 261 and MATH 357 . UG
