Organization and operation of a radio news department; gathering, writing and recording news for audio broadcast, internet and podcast. Instruction and practice in announcing news, news services, handling of wire copy, use of actualities and telling stories with audio only. Conducting and editing of news, and long-form interviews. COMM 277 must be taken concurrently with this course. Offered alternate years. Prerequisite(s): COMM 273. UG
