FACS 226 - Health, Safety and Nutrition Young Children 3 hours Course content covers contemporary health, safety, and nutritional needs of infants - school age children and guides the student in implementing effective early childhood practices. Students will learn to partner with families in regards to their cultural beliefs about health and their unique health care needs. Other topics include disease prevention, childhood obesity, early childhood mental health, resilience, chronic and acute health conditions, environmental quality and children with special medical needs.
