BSNS 416 - Healthcare Lean Process Improvements II

Students will learn the purpose and basics of value stream mapping, be able to create a flow map of a product or process, identify what is value added vs. non value added, identify and prioritize the opportunites for improvements. Students will learn that value stream maps are used to drive improvements and the importance of observation of process as well as obtaining staff input. They will learn how to draw current state and future state maps and how to plan and implement them. Prerequisite(s): BSNS 415, minimum Sophomore standing and approval of concentration coordinator. UG
