LIT 325 - Philosophical Foundations and Literary Theory 3 hours A study of the major works, movements, and practitioners of literary criticism, from Plato to Post-Structuralism. Attention is given not only to the fundamental philosophies informing criticism, but also to the practical application of critical methods. Offered fall semester.
