CHEM 103 - General Chemistry I

A study of the structure and properties of matter. Atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, periodic law, nomenclature, stoichiometry, gas laws, states of matter, solutions, and descriptive chemistry of selected nonmetallic elements are studied.
GER: Physical Science. Offered every fall and spring. Prerequisite(s): high school chemistry or CHEM 101 ; ACT MATH score of 19+, SAT Math score of 510+ or GNST 095  with a minimum grade of C-. Three lecture periods and one laboratory period. UG
