NUTR 660 - Medical Nutrition Therapy II

Advanced study of the nutrition science principles and nutrition therapy required for medical conditions. A case study approach will require students to integrate nutrient metabolism, pathophysiology, nutrition assessment, and medical nutrition prescriptions. Specific to this course, students will work within a hospital setting to assess the nutritional status of patients with the following conditions: Nutrition in Critical Care, Cardiovasular, Renal, Diabetes, and Nutrition Support.
