FACS 230 - Food Preparation


3 hours
An introductory review of culinary skills for majors in Family and Consumer Sciences. Students will demonstrate understanding of the basic functions of ingredients, measurement techniques, table setting, food economics, and food regulations and standards. Sensory evaluation will also be incorporated. Includes classroom and laboratory experiences. Prerequisite(s): FACS 134  and a state food safety manager certification. UG
